Your domain name is your address on the internet — like zedgehost.com. Registering one with ZedgeHost takes a few minutes, and it can be ordered together with hosting or completely on its own.
✅ Before you start
- A ZedgeHost account (you can create it during checkout if you don't have one)
- A name in mind — read "Which Domain Should You Choose?" first if you're unsure
Steps
- Go to my.zedgehost.com → Store → Register a New Domain (or start from zedgehost.com).
- Type the name you want and search — for example: yourshop
- Review the results: the system shows which endings are available (.com, .pk, .net and more) with prices. Green/available names can be registered.
- Add your choice to the cart and continue. If you also need hosting, you can add a hosting plan in the same order.
- Review the domain settings — the nameservers are pre-filled with ours (ns1.my.zedgehost.com / ns2.my.zedgehost.com), which is right if the domain will be used with our hosting.
- Complete checkout and pay the invoice using the instructions shown on it.
✅ Result: Once payment is confirmed, the domain is registered in your name and appears in your client area under Domains → My Domains. You will also receive a confirmation email. Domains usually become active within minutes; DNS then needs a little time to spread (see "DNS Propagation").
Important: enter your real name, email and phone as the domain owner. The registry may ask you to verify your email address after registration — complete that verification promptly, or the domain can be suspended by the registry until you do.
⚠ Common mistakes & fixes
- Spelling mistake in the name: a registered domain cannot be "edited" — a typo means registering (and paying for) a new one. Read the name letter by letter before paying.
- Ignoring the verification email: check the inbox of the email you registered with, and your spam folder. Unverified domains get suspended by the registry, not by us.
- Someone else took the name first: domains are first-come, first-served worldwide. Try another ending (.pk, .net) or a small variation of the name.
