A .pk domain tells customers instantly that you are a Pakistani business. This guide covers the.pk options, who can register them, and how the process works at ZedgeHost.

✅ What you need
- Your real name and contact details — the registrant information must be genuine and reachable
- For restricted categories (.edu.pk,.gov.pk): proof documents for your institution
- Note:.pk domains are normally registered for a minimum of 2 years at a time
Steps
- Go to my.zedgehost.com → Store → Register a New Domain.
- Search your name with the.pk ending you want (e.g. yourshop.pk or yourshop.com.pk) to check availability.
- Add it to the cart and continue to checkout — the nameservers will be set to ours automatically for use with our hosting.
- Enter the registrant details carefully — exactly as they should appear on the domain record.
- Pay the invoice using the instructions shown on it.
- Respond to any verification — if the registry or we need an ID/document check for your category, send it promptly so registration is not delayed.
✅ Result: Your.pk domain is registered and shows in your client area under Domains → My Domains. Point it at your hosting (it uses our nameservers by default) and build your site as normal.
⚠ Common mistakes & fixes
- Fake or incomplete registrant details: the registry can reject or later suspend domains with false ownership data. Use real details — they are your proof of ownership.
- Ordering.edu.pk/.gov.pk without eligibility: these are verified categories. If you are not a recognized institution, choose.pk or.com.pk instead.
- Forgetting the 2-year cycle:.pk renewals follow the registry's 2-year term — budget for renewal before the expiry date so the name is never lost.
