Prefer your mail app over Webmail? This page has the exact server settings for your ZedgeHost email — for Android, iPhone, Outlook and any other mail app. Setup takes about three minutes.
Your email settings (use these)
| Username | Your FULL email address (e.g. [email protected]) |
| Password | That mailbox's own password |
| Incoming server (IMAP) | mail.yourdomain.com — Port 993, security SSL/TLS |
| Incoming (POP3, alternative) | mail.yourdomain.com — Port 995, SSL/TLS |
| Outgoing server (SMTP) | mail.yourdomain.com — Port 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS) |
| Outgoing authentication | ON — same username and password as incoming |
Replace "yourdomain.com" with your real domain. We recommend IMAP: it keeps mail on the server, so phone, computer and Webmail all see the same inbox. POP3 downloads mail to one device — only choose it if you specifically want that.
Android (Gmail app) — the short version
- Gmail app → menu → Settings → Add account → Other.
- Enter your email address → Manual setup → Personal (IMAP).
- Enter the password, then fill the incoming and outgoing servers from the table above.
- Finish the wizard — your mailbox starts syncing.
iPhone — the short version
- Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account.
- Enter name, email and password; on the next screen choose IMAP and fill both servers from the table.
- Save — Mail starts syncing.
Outlook (desktop) — the short version
- File → Add Account, enter your email, choose manual setup / additional server types if offered.
- Account type IMAP, fill the servers and ports from the table, and enable "My outgoing server requires authentication".
- Test Account Settings — both tests should complete.
Easy alternative: cPanel can configure many apps automatically. In cPanel → Email Accounts → Connect Devices next to your mailbox, you'll find ready-made configuration files and the same settings listed per device.
⚠ Common mistakes & fixes
- Receives but cannot send: outgoing authentication is off, or the SMTP port/security pair is mixed (465 needs SSL, 587 needs STARTTLS). Match them exactly as in the table.
- Certificate warning on the server name: usually the server was typed as your plain domain instead of mail.yourdomain.com. Correct the name and the warning disappears.
- Password rejected in the app but works in Webmail: a typo or an old saved password. Delete the saved password in the app and retype it carefully.
- Old emails "missing" on the phone: POP3 downloaded them to another device earlier. Switch to IMAP for a consistent inbox everywhere.
