Ordering a VPS at ZedgeHost follows the same checkout as our other products — with one difference worth knowing up front: your server is provisioned manually by our team after payment, and the login details are delivered to you personally.
✅ Before you start
- A ZedgeHost account (created during checkout if you don't have one)
- An idea of the size you need — CPU, RAM and storage. Not sure? The comparison article linked below helps; for most first VPS projects, a modest plan is plenty and can grow later
- Your operating system preference, if you have one (Linux distributions are the standard choice)
Steps
- Go to my.zedgehost.com → Store → the VPS product group.
- Choose the plan that fits your CPU/RAM/storage needs and click Order.
- Configure the order — billing cycle and any options shown — and continue to checkout.
- Complete checkout and pay the invoice using the instructions on it.
- Wait for our provisioning email/ticket reply — since setup is manual, delivery takes reasonable working time rather than seconds. Your delivery message will contain the server address and root login details.
- Log in and secure the server immediately — follow "How to Connect to Your VPS" and then "How to Secure Your New VPS (First Steps)" before putting anything real on it.

⚠ Common mistakes & fixes
- Expecting instant activation like shared hosting: VPS delivery is manual. For a fixed launch date, order with buffer time — and if timing is critical, tell us in a ticket right after ordering.
- Ordering far more than you need: start sensibly; an undersized VPS shows itself quickly (RAM pressure), and we'll advise on moving up instead of you overpaying from day one.
- Missing the delivery email: check spam, and check the email address on your account is one you actually read — the root credentials go there.
