Locked out? The most common cause isn't a forgotten password — it's the wrong password for that door. ZedgeHost has four separate logins, each with its own key. Identify your door first; the fix is then simple.
The four doors and their keys
| Client Area (my.zedgehost.com) | Email address + client-area password. Reset: "Forgot Password" on the login page emails you a reset link. |
| cPanel | cPanel username + its own password. Reset it FROM the client area (your service's management page) — no separate cPanel reset link exists for customers. |
| WordPress (yourdomain.com/wp-admin) | WordPress username + its own password. Reset: "Lost your password?" on the WP login — or the one-click login inside cPanel's WordPress Manager. |
| Email / Webmail | Full email address + THAT mailbox's password. Reset by the account owner in cPanel → Email Accounts → Manage. |
Still stuck after the right door?
- Check the basics: Caps Lock off; no trailing space from copy-paste; the keyboard layout didn't switch languages; the browser isn't autofilling an OLD saved password over your new one — delete the saved entry and type it fresh.
- Reset email not arriving: check spam, and confirm you're checking the mailbox the account actually has on file.
- Repeated failures can trigger protection: stop hammering for a while — security systems throttle repeated bad attempts, and every extra try restarts the clock.
- "Invalid token" or login loops: clear the site's cookies in your browser, or try a private window.
✅ Last resort that always works: the client area is the master key — from it you can reach or reset cPanel, and from cPanel everything else (WordPress one-click login, mailbox passwords). If even the client area is lost, open a ticket from our contact page and be ready to verify your identity as the account owner.
