Hosting renews by paying its renewal invoice — the system creates it automatically before your due date. Renewing early is always allowed; your new period simply stacks on top of the old one.
Steps
- Watch for the renewal invoice — you receive it by email, and it appears under Billing → My Invoices ahead of the due date.
- Open the invoice and confirm it names the right service and period.
- Pay it following the instructions on the invoice (see "How to Pay Your Invoice").
- Verify: the invoice flips to Paid, and under Services → My Services your service's Next Due Date moves forward by the new period.
✅ Result: Your hosting continues without a gap — same files, same email, same everything, with a fresh period ahead of you.
Make it effortless: keeping account credit (see "How to Add Funds") lets renewals settle from your balance the moment the invoice is created — the closest thing to automatic renewal, and the surest protection against an accidental lapse.
⚠ Common mistakes & fixes
- Waiting for the due date itself: manual payments need verification time. Pay a few days early and renewal is a non-event; pay at the last hour and you race the suspension clock.
- Renewing hosting but forgetting the domain: they are separate services with separate invoices — a live host with an expired domain is still an offline website. Check both due dates.
- Assuming a failed renewal keeps your data forever: unpaid services are suspended, then terminated, and termination deletes the account's files. The grace details are in the Late Payment article below.
