Outgrowing your plan is a good problem — more visitors, more products, more email. Upgrading (and downgrading, when you need less) happens from your service page, with the price difference calculated fairly for the time remaining.
Steps
- Log in to the client area → Services → My Services.
- Click the service you want to change.
- Choose "Upgrade/Downgrade" from the service's actions.
- Pick the new plan and review the amount shown — for an upgrade this is the prorated difference between the plans for the rest of your current period, not a full new price.
- Confirm and pay the invoice that is generated.
- Verify: once paid, the service page shows the new plan and its limits right away.
✅ Result: Your account runs on the new plan from the moment payment is confirmed — files, email and settings untouched, just with the new plan's higher (or lower) limits.
About downgrades: before downgrading, check your current usage — especially Disk Usage in cPanel and your mailbox count. If you're using more than the smaller plan allows, clean up first (or expect the excess to block the move). Any credit difference follows the invoice shown during the process.
⚠ Common mistakes & fixes
- Upgrading to fix a problem that isn't size: if the site is slow because of heavy plugins, a bigger plan changes little. The speed guide in the WordPress category is worth ten minutes first — then upgrade for the right reason: growth.
- Leaving the upgrade invoice unpaid: the plan changes only AFTER that invoice is paid. An unpaid upgrade invoice is just a quote sitting in your Billing list.
- Downgrading below your real usage: mailboxes and data above the new limit don't vanish, but new creations block and warnings follow. Clean first, downgrade second.
