Forgot a password? It happens to everyone. You have two different ZedgeHost passwords — your client area password and your cPanel password — and each is reset in a different place. This guide covers both.
Reset your client area password
- Go to my.zedgehost.com/login.php
- Click "Forgot Password".
- Enter your account email address and submit.
- Open the password-reset email and click its link (check the spam folder if you don't see it).
- Set a new, strong password and log in with it.
Already logged in? Open your account menu (your name, top right) and use the password/security settings there to change it directly.
Reset your cPanel password
- Log in to your client area at my.zedgehost.com
- Open Services → My Services and click your hosting plan.
- Open the "Change Password" tab on the service page.
- Enter a new cPanel password, confirm it, and save.
✅ Result: The new password works immediately for cPanel — and also for the main FTP account and other services that share the cPanel password.
Make your new password strong
- At least 12 characters, mixing upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols
- Never reuse a password from another website
- Don't use your name, domain name or phone number in it
- Consider a password manager so you never have to remember — or reuse — passwords again
⚠ Common mistakes & fixes
- Resetting the wrong password: if cPanel rejects your login, resetting the client area password won't help — follow the cPanel steps above, and the other way around.
- Reset link expired: request a fresh reset email and use only the newest link.
- Still locked out: open a support ticket, or email [email protected] from your registered email — we will verify your identity and help you.
